But if I must say it and mean it:
XYplorer 5.50
1. Great Product, superb ideas and overall execution, yet it truly needs a dual-panes display option.
Regardless if the idea is to not stray too far away from Windows Explorer "simplicity", XYplorer cries out to have at least as an option, dual-panes display, so as to intuitively and quickly see two areas simultaneously and be able to as quickly as you think, copy or move files.
Without dual-panes, XYplorer is one of those great products, superb programming, but is absolutely crippled by lack of two-panes option, whether to stack them vertically or side-by-side.
Far too much of what one does most often with a file manager IS to copy or move agenda from one place to the other.
2. Needs ability to view RAR and ZIP file innards. I am much impressed at how fast and accurate that the XYplorer is at viewing all manner of files, especially PDF's...
However, when you click on ZIP or RAR compressed files, and all you see is essentially machine language / hex / text in the View area....it just seems "almost perfection, but not quite" in the View area.
However, this is clearly a well-designed product, well priced, maybe priced too low, and deserving of not only buying into the ownership and use agenda, but also spreading the word.
Rating: 4.5 out of five stars

As one of those who believes that a dual-pane option, even limited in scope, would be a good method to target new customers (and thus more XY disciples
), and who uses another product on the rare occasion that I feel it's absolutely needed to perform desired task, I'll say this to summarize my point:
Yes, it's the ability to manually work with and visually compare two similar folders whose contents are named differently enough that normal file compare utilities can't handle the task...that's the time when I need it.
I'd also refer you to these popular threads (among others) for some background on what's been said before:

You can search for dual pane and find other threads about it.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
