View / Folder Settings / Edit disabled

I am trialling XYExplorer as Windows 7 explorer has been giving me the heeby-jeebies with it's manic movements on tree selection/expansion

I like the extras it offers and I'm particularly interested in setting up my pictures folders with a good sized thumbnail as default view since I got rid of Picasa (along with all things google!)

however when I go to < View/Folder View Settings > in the menu Edit is disabled

is this because I'm using the trial version or because I need to be in a specific context?

Did you use "Save folder view" or "Define this folder view as default" before? If not there isn't anything to edit...

no I didn't - as I didn't understand this was how it works...got it now....much appreciated
