Cycle focus with tab key

Post by RalphM »

Couldn't find this anywhere so I ask here:
If you cycle focus by tab key, it cycles in the sequence Tree - List- AB -Catalog - Unknown - Tree...
Can anybody tell me what Unknown is in that list?
In other words, it takes two hits of tab to move the focus from Cat to Tree.
Furthermore the function of the Tab key is documented nowhere, neither in the help nor the wiki.
I will complete the wiki after I got an answer for the Unknown, but Don you should probably add it to the help.
Ralph :)

I think the unknown is the info panel. because if you have find files in info panel ON then tab hits goes through all the find file items.

Unknown = Unnecessary aka Bug! I removed that little Unknown (it was infact the info panel!).

I don't think it should be in the help/wiki. That Tab cycles focus is windows standard.

Reviving this very old topic as it somewhat matches my current issue:
(Ok, so it's admittedly not a true bug, but it certainly caused me about 15 min to figure out what was going on! )

When you have the Raw View IP tab active on a TXT file, it cycles thru the ASCII opts...fine...but it was really hard to spot that it was doing so!
Those little checkbox labels getting dashed line surrounds was almost invisible if you didn't pay very close attention!

So...could there be some improvement to this? Something like changing text color of the currently focused button/label to the blue (or whatever Marked Text 1 color is) so it'd be easier to see?

I presumed it was going to the IP somewhere but never even thought to look at those ASCII boxes...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I don't see a solution here, and I really don't see a problem either. The way the focus is done is global to Windows. So if at all, the solution should be done in Windows settings (which, however, is not possible AFAIK).
