NewItems, breaks when you have a comma in the folder name

Post by lukescammell »

I just put a new item in my, err, New Items *boom tiss*

Anyway, it didn't work, I tried using it (in the list, Right Click > New Items > Left Click) and got a standard Windows error:
Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot copy file: Cannot read from the source file or disk.
OK
The new "New Items" directory name had one comma in it and split the directory name onto two lines in the right click interface described above.

Also, is it's a pig trying this out repeatedly, having to save the config and then "Restart without Saving", have I missed the "Restart" (implied "with saving") option in the file menu?

Oh yes! That bug was hidden for quite some time. Thanks!

Why would anyone want to do this? It brings you exactly to where you are now, only on a longer way

Well, when you're adding New Items, you have to restart for them to show up (well I do anyway...)

nope, just use menu View/Caches/Update New Items Menu to have XY quickly rescan the folder & refresh the menu ;)
