Don,
Love the default tab, don't like the zig-zag underline - what about a default icon overlay for the tabs folder icon (classy) ?
In fact anything but the zig zag underline.
Thinking about it, how about a different coloured top edge (a subtle green or something instead of the gold) ? Or is this not possible ?
Thanks
Andy

Re: Default Tab
I had the same thought a while back, but then realized that the icon changes depending on what the tab is pointing to...like a CD or Desktop, etc. ... so it's a folder icon most, but not 100% of the time, thus some other means of marking default tab is needed.phatmankerr wrote: what about a default icon overlay for the tabs folder icon (classy) ?
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Overlay
J.C.
I agree fully , but thought Don may be able to code an icon overlay sort of thing (as for file favourites). But I'm not sure how flexible Don's tabs are ?
Cheers

Re: Overlay
My tabs are super-flexible, and icon overlay is a good idea, thanks!phatmankerr wrote:I agree fully , but thought Don may be able to code an icon overlay sort of thing (as for file favourites). But I'm not sure how flexible Don's tabs are ?

I do like that overlay! Works for me!
But...
could it be just a tab bigger? Maybe 30-50% larger? For us with slightly older eyes! And with not that large a display...
When I have tab on normal folder, it's not quite as bad but when other icons are base, it kinda blends in a bit too easily...

I think it should not be so dominant. After all it is not very important to know at every moment where the default tab is. It is just a normal tab, that becomes a special role only in connection with other locked tabs.j_c_hallgren wrote:I do like that overlay! Works for me!![]()

But honestly, I personally know which is my default tab (left-most) so I don't really care that much

Remember, I didn't say to make it THAT much bigger! It's currently so small that even with a 30% increase, it isn't very large...And the white arrow is large enough so that it reduces the green amount enough to make it harder to see...maybe add a darker green color border as the back arrow seems to have?
The blue overlay on Favorites is quite easy to see in comparison, so I'm just looking to make this as visible...and as I'd said, when base icon is a folder, default overlay isn't quite as bad, but when base is another type, then it really blends in...

Hedge My Bets
I'm with Jacky on this one (agree with both of you).
I don't think it's vital to know which is the default tab, but the current overlay is not that clear (the fav file / folder overlays are much clearer - why not just use a dark green version of the favs overlay ?)
