Sorting order

Hi there, is there a way to sort files, esp. photos by recording date? I see "created" and "modified", but that is not the same as "recorded".

Not directly - XY can sort only the columns it sees: modified, created and so on. Recorded is within EXIF, thus not "directly" available.
HOWEVER,
with little scripting you could either
a. set the modified/created date to be the same of the recorded date stored in the EXIF
b. set a comment for each pic containing the recorded EXIF date
In either case you end up with a column containing the recorded date, that you can sort.

Thanks for the answers! It works that way, but I think I will keep Windows Explorer, as it sorts the photos by recording date without additional work.
