Should Sync-Select work in Branch View?

I noticed that if a pane is in Branch view and you try to evoke Panes > Sync Select > Select Selected, the items displayed in Branch View are invisible.... (Unless I'm not using the feature correctly).

In the image below you can see that I like to be anal about organizing my Windows Start Menu.... I tend to get duplicates of the .lnk files in different subfolders. In the left pane I've opened the "Games" subfolder and selected the two links. I'd like XY to find the corresponding links of the same name on the other side... (There are duplicates in the "Creative" subfolder.) Does that make sense?
