Extracting a quote from a series of sentences in a posting is NOT faking it!
That's often what a quote is here...a part of a sentence isolated from context...
Neither is combining a series of them, separated by the standard "..."
Movie reviews and politicians do it all the time!
What I meant by summary was...if you took sentence 3 from one posting and sentence 7 from a totally separate thread post, and made it into a semi-combined quote, delimited by the typical ellipsis ("...")
Here's two post excerpts you could append/use:
"bugs in XY get fixed by ONE developer quicker than other places that have teams, dozens or hundreds on staff!
I'm still not sure how he does it, having been a mainframe programmer for most of my prior career, but I'm really glad he can!"
-or-
"I think part of the reason why XY works better than many other products is due to the feedback given here in the forums, and an author who, in almost all cases, pays attention to that feedback!"
