A few more points for general discussion:
People might go to flexifiles.com instead
The name implies flexible files, sounds like a file converter perhaps?
The flexy is close to sexy, if you google flexyfiles some of the results are .. interesting
It's not a bad name though, as a word on its own it's somehow catchy.
Yes, FF is de facto gone to Firefox (although de jure it should be FX). That's a pity, but there are two ways out: 1) XY (which I will try to promote), 2) FL (which is free AFAIK).
flexifiles.com: yes, but URLs are rarely typed, mostly clicked, and saying "flexyfiles with a Y in the middle" is far less embarrassing than explaining how "XYplorer" is spelled.
The name implies flexible files: yes, admitted. But it will be "FlexyFiles, the portable file manager" or maybe "FlexyFiles, the flexible file manager" -- I think it will work and stick.
The flexy is close to sexy: I see that rhyme as a light plus. And those "interesting results" will soon be superseded by FlexyFiles file manager results.
But, I'm still open to find a better name.
Nothing is decided yet!
