So this syntax (with the index) doesn't work for scripts menus, only CTBs? Any reason why?
Also, if possible, I guess it'd be nice to have a way to access XY's own icons (e.g. we could use "xytb /qfv" to use the icons for TB button QFV)
Should work now... :)

Yes it does, thank you. :)

Although ( ) while this works:

Code: Select all

c:\windows\system32\shell32.dll /156
this doesn't, for some reason, and ignores the index:

Code: Select all

%winsysdir%\shell32.dll /156

Fixed in next version.

if "fire on mouse down" is checked then all menus for the rigth-click script will pop up under the ctb.
while this is nice for the 1st script menu, it can be really annoying for the sub menus, since it could mean lots of mouse travel.
it is also inconsintent with the script behavior everywhere else.

in one ctb test i used "load scriptfile, label;" on the right-click field.
this made the standard "click" item appear as "Click|c:\path\to\icon.ico|1".

Ever since first time using XY and even still now -
i am always right clicking the folder tab and want to switch the drive.
(That was and is the first place i would expect such an option)
(and i am missing the drive-button-bar of TC)

But back to topic... I always want to have myco in the tab context menu...

... so question, Don: is it possible to reuse the CTBs right-click-script feature for the tab ctx menu?

folder tab? you mean the tree?

Please, somebody explain to me what's so great about a drive-button-bar!

Customize tab ctx menu: well.... not really that fascinating to me at the moment.

I think i mean the LIST , (1) in => http://www.xyplorer.com/product.htm

Think portable, on each other pc you can see with one view which partitions are there and which shares are mapped.
It's not hidden behind an button  (no offense  )

Probably it's an matter of habit.

Oh, i see.

I imaging the same is true for Customize list ctx menu?
Too bad, because i am searching always for an quick access (just at place) to an script by using the mouse.
(no, catalog is not displayed and CTB to far away for that use)
So launching an script from every context menu would be an welcome feature. Just for the record for XY X

right-click a ctb and click "customize toolbar".
on the buttons lists you can see the buttons, err, "name for the toolbar command".
ex:
Delete [del]
Dual Pane [dp]

is that intended?

Yes. That's to easy see the intern name of the standard buttons for:

+ Scripting got a new command.
Examples:
::button "mru"; //pops MRU menu at key

Was mentioned in change log for v8.40.0108 - 2009-09-21 13:37:

Code: Select all

    * Custom Toolbar Buttons: Now, when you open the Customize Toolbar
dialog from the context menu of a User Button, the buttons keys
      are displayed for reference.

I recently maxed out my supply of CTBs (no, I don't need more yet :P ), so questions/wishes fermented in my mind. You may have some/all of those already on your CTB 2.0 list, but just in case you have any missing ;)

1. Lack of batch mode support - with undoubted increase of CTBs at our disposal, it will (already is, for me) be impractical to move either one or all buttons when customising the TB. I'd like to select a few 'empty' CTBs from 'Available buttons' menu and throw them over to the 'Current buttons' area and vice versa, I'd like to be able to move a selection of CTBs up/down the TB (useful when swapping sections divided by separators). None of those are currently possible. Sadly.

2. Clicking to 'Edit' or 'Customize Toolbar...' when having enabled Scripting's Step Mode makes you go through step mode, albeit on extra step than with SM off. No such when using context menu of non-CTBs. Would it be possible to remove this please?

3. Using [Toolbar & Address Bar] layout and hiding (PC for disabling) the AB opens up quite a bit of empty space. TB's context menu should be in it with options like 'Add a CTB' and 'Customize Toolbar...'. Clicking the former would add a fresh, empty CTB.

4. Right-clicking a CTB that has no clicking scripts to be triggered doesn't bring up the same context menu as a CTB that has. Is this to force a user to add a script? I'm puzzled at reasoning behind it. All CTBs are equal, but some are more equal than others? Does CTB stand for Communist Toolbar Button?

5. Slightly related to (4). There's no 'Remove' context menu for any TB. Right-clicking on a TB --> Customize Toolbar --> Scroll down to find button --> Click on it --> Click Remove --> Click OK. That's 6 steps Vs Right-click on a TB --> Remove = 2 steps. 66% percent less work.

That's a wrap. It's a bit of a moan, I suppose :P, but will make using the Toolbar and all things related so much more intuitive. I hope that to you, Don, see that they 'make sense'.
