I am aware that whether a certain name is registered depends on your system. Property scripting command is even pickier, but there's a reference for what indices give what property in each OS

Whether a certain registered name is present on your system depends on whether a respective application is installed on your machine. However, the names themselves don't change significantly between OSs. The most major change is probably between 32-bit and 64-bit versions, like WINZIP32 being the registered name for WinZip's 32-bit edition.

Most of the ones that I come across provide icons of high resolutions. I have to rely on another bit of software to scale them down. So while I have no problem finding icons, there's extra work that I have to do to make them work, especially with XY being imagefile-dependent (different behaviour .ICO vs The Rest) when it comes to display of TB's icons.
