I don't think Don can give you a list of registered names, simply because it depends on your system. For example I'm pretty sure "Photoshop" is a registered name for Don, but it ain't for me... (Same goes for registered app usable with run/openwith/PFA/etc)

I am aware that whether a certain name is registered depends on your system. Property scripting command is even pickier, but there's a reference for what indices give what property in each OS Whether a certain registered name is present on your system depends on whether a respective application is installed on your machine. However, the names themselves don't change significantly between OSs. The most major change is probably between 32-bit and 64-bit versions, like WINZIP32 being the registered name for WinZip's 32-bit edition.

As for free icon resources, I'm sure there are some good ones out there on the Interwebs (I think Don might have mentioned some in the changelog over the years, using some for TB icons or something), though I couldn't name you one...

Most of the ones that I come across provide icons of high resolutions. I have to rely on another bit of software to scale them down. So while I have no problem finding icons, there's extra work that I have to do to make them work, especially with XY being imagefile-dependent (different behaviour .ICO vs The Rest) when it comes to display of TB's icons.

But you can't expect Don (or anyone) to list all the apps that might be registered on one's system. Sure, WinZip is known well-enough to come to mind, but any small freeware can be on the list, there's just no way to know all the applications that could be registered on one's system, or what name they will use...

It's not like property where it is OS dependent and such a list can be compiled, here it would be like saying you want a list of all possible apps that could be installed on one's system : that just can't be done.

An alternative could be a walkthrough to find out the registered name, perhaps looking in particular areas of the registry and the like. Throwing us out there with no support or documentation regarding a particular function is like asking us to get up the proverbial creek with no paddle
