Hi,
I need to click the control first in your test app to be able to scroll it.
When I start your test app, the left control I white.
Can not scroll with the wheel (that we already know).
I activate Extra Wheel Support, the left control turns grey (now both are grey).
Scrolling is not working.
Clicking in the left control the wheel scrolling is working.
Clicking in the right control, scrolling is working.
I deactivate Extra Wheel Support, both control gets grey.

Okay, I uploaded a new test app with an additional check box
"Extra Wheel Support 2.0".

Should work now...

Hi Don,
Good news, it works.
If I have only Extra Wheel Support 2.0 activated it works. I do not need to
click in any control.
As soon I activate Extra Wheel Support, I need to click on a control to get scrolling to work.

Good. At least a solution has been found, thanks!
For me, being a shaolin zen coding ninja with an attitude, it is a bit frustrating because the current wheel/scroll code was utterly elegant and efficient - now I have to add lots of lines just for logitech mice... argghh.

Elegant and efficient be damned this time as my very not very elegant mouse is efficient once again. Thanks.

I've been gone for the last several days so I haven't been able to participate in this thread...sorry. Unfortunately I have some not-so-good news.

The Catalog still doesn't scroll correctly for me. I have to focus it to get it to scroll, which is a step forward from where it was before, but when the Catalog has focus the other controls don't scroll when my mouse is hovered over them.
So essentially here is how it works on my computer:
- -- If Catalog has focus, only the Catalog scrolls (no matter where the mouse is)
- -- If any other control has focus, they each scroll correctly when hovered over except for the Catalog
I downloaded the latest version of your test app and if I check
Extra Wheel Support 2.0 both horizontal and vertical scrolling work as expected in both controls.

All is good. The new code is not yet present in the main app, so no wonder your catalog does not scroll as expected.

Ahhhhh, okay. I saw the code change and thought it had been implemented:
Code: Select all
! New List Controls (Catalog and various small Lists): Scrolling by
mouse wheel did not work with certain mouse brands. Should be fixed.

That was the fix that did not fix...

Hi,
The fix works not correctly.
I can not scroll down.
if I am at the bottom of the Catalog List and scroll up, the Catalog View jump to the top.
After that the scrolling is not working.
This behavior do I not have in your test application.
Which other Lists are you using this solution? Want to test how they work.
I do not need to click in the Catalog View anymore to get the wheel to "work".

Try the lists on Customize Toolbar, please.

Hi,
The same behavior.
If the list is in the top, I can not scroll with the wheel.
I move the scroll bar to the bottom, so the list is in the bottom.
Now I try to scroll, it does not matter if I scroll down or up with the wheel, the list jumps directly to the top.
And now I can not scroll anymore whit the wheel.
It works in your latest test app, tried that few minutes ago.

Hi,
Good news.
It works in both Catalog View and the list in Customize Toolbar.
Hope this is the finally solution.

You mean
0012 works 100% perfectly???
Did you try other lists, like
List Management, or
Excluded Folders? Did you try Touchpad (or
anybody who has Synaptics Touchpad!)?
