Using v23.70.0206, or likely since you made the preview order change, MDBU fails for me on about 15% of video files, tweak("PreviewEarlyFactory", 1); or 0 resolves it for me though.

So there seems to be no solution that is good for everyone. The results depend on the Windows version and configuration in an unpredictable way.

I guess I will undo that change from v23.70.0206, and make this setting accessible in Configuration. I just wonder how to call it...
