Triangles because they are different from the usual and boring backslashes we're all used to since the days of DOS. I think they'll distinguish the directories better than slash and as nerdweed mentioned, they'd be easier to click on as well.

Something wrong here, the breadcrum shows up as a smudge:

Just tried it now -- and wondering: Why the trailing triangle after current folder?

Ok, so the AB has a trailing slash -- but WE on XP doesn't do that but since I rarely use/look at AB, and a slash isn't as obvious, never really bothered me though the triangle makes it much more visible as final char.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I'm assuming that it's possible to continue to fully surf from the breadcrumbs. So your current folder might have many other folders which can all be accessed through that trailing triangle.

Ah yes, the Classic theme needs a little extra care. Coming...

No. It is a long time decision and relevant discussions and arguments could be found somewhere here.

The most important argument was: Address bar is one and only - shared by both panes. Breadcrumbs are two - one for each pane. This is most probably very important for two-paners.

IMHO, also in this way the source code will be more easily maintainable.

No, it wasn't the Classic theme this time, but the fact that you used the "LayoutSP" tweak :)

Damn, complication: when the popup (when clicking a triangle) gets very high Win7 Explorer pops a menu with a scrollbar. Now I don't find a way how to do this with standard Windows API. Mysterious. Well, I will find a way, but it slows things down a bit. Just to let you know. All else is very fine.

The scrollbar behavior sounds normal. The popup menu sounds like it's ghosting from the breadcrumb drop down? Nasty.

I'd suggest going easy on the pickled chicken and raisins.
I want XY to serve soft ice cream. Please Don, make XY serve soft ice cream.

I knew there would be something left for us on this day's table, Don was simply too quiet.

This what I get with beta 13.10.0102 upon XY startup.

Wow. Thats amazing. Downward Paths look good as well. The list is shown without the dropdowns but it allows to jump (only first character)

BTW, the backward slashes aren't forward slashed on clicking it.

Thanks Don
