:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

TV - Unable to delete folder(s) if folder tree expanded

Post by Zardoz2293 »

:(
If you have a set of folders in XY and try to delete from the TV with the folder set expanded (displaying the subordinate folders) then you can be unable to delete the specified folder as the "Folder Access Denied" message can occur. XY sometimes will select one of the lower folders (subordinates) after the delete is initiated.

Example: Have a nested set of folders, expand them in the TV, select one of the subordinate folders, then right-click on the Parent/Grandparent folders to the currently selected folder and select delete via the popup menu. Permission to delete may or many not be requested (provide permission to delete), XY will typically reselect the previous folder (the subordinate) and the "Folder Access Denied" message will occur. You must change to another folder that isn't a subordinate to the (Parent/Grandparent) folder being deleted while the "Folder Access Denied" message is displayed and then select the retry button and the deletion process will then succeed.
