TrackerV3 3.20 Build 0086

Post by nerfkin »

I've searched the entire net without success for a copy of version 3.20.0086
as it was the last one that could be used on older systems without gdiplus.dll,
if somebody has a copy of version 3.20.0086 please send it to me via email.

Thanks in advance!

Version v3.22.0000
Release 28-Sep-2003
This is the last version working under Win95 (it does not need GdiPlus.dll).
Note that naturally there is no support at all for this version anymore.

What did the addition of GDIplus.dll enable? (Just curious.)

Thank you very much, I noticed that the "TreeView" in version 3.22.0000
no longer converts "Folder" names created in the MS-DOS mode to the
Long Name Format (first letter in Upper case and the rest in lower case).
Was that an oversight in this version or was it implemented on request,
and if so what version did that begin?

I kind of liked the old TreeView :(

Don't know. Don't remember ever having changed that.
And as I said: no support, sorry.

Ok, just for fun try version 3.10 if you have it, I have build 0042 if needed.
By the way, do you have the old versions... every where I found a source
for version 3.20 and down loaded it I found 3.50 inside the zip? :?

I tried but did not see any differences under XP. You are using Win95, I suppose.

Any older versions are not available to the public anymore, sorry.

Actually, I'm using 98SE at the moment although I have another computer
with 95 on it and originally bought version 3.10.0042 for it years ago.

So what's your problem with GDIplus?? It's harmless. And the new version is a bit better than the old one

Sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner, resting up after our holiday. (grin)
I don't know anything about gdiplus but I avoid putting any XP components
in my system, in the mean time I've been scouring the FTP sites and found
version 3.20.0089 (it's to bad I couldn't find 3.20.0092) and it still displays
the Tree in the Long File Name format so you must have circumvented the
routine to do that for the Tree in 3.21 somewhere.

You will have to live with it. It does not sound like a very nasty problem anyway.

BTW, gdiplus.dll is not an "XP component" but should be well compatible with 98.
