No, this stuff is also needed to get dragged files from tree and list. There is no relation to Outlook here.

My evil ole32.dll has MD5 of 3197ac5a14dda881dce1413d397dca58.

BTW, I have downloaded the 90.0015 manually, changed the date in the SimpleUpdater.ini and then tried to update using SimpleUpdater.xys. Unfortunately still the same problem. But, I guess that in this case no code changes can help - I guess that these can be the ole32 effects, but must admit that the script is too complex for me.

However, this is no problem for me Marco. Lets just wait a bit and see if someone else will report this problem. I have no problem updating manually.

Hmm... so they're not identical (well I sort of expected it). What you could do is try uninstall http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=2876217 from the control panel (just look for Windows Update 2876217) and then restart the computer. Then try the script again to see if it works. At least it can be checked to see if ole32.dll also have an effect on that.

Of course you could just experiment with the ole32.dll I uploaded and see if it solves the problem hehe.

Don,

I just ran version 12.90.0020 and the problem is solved. I haven't verified all functions, but no more crash on a simple drag.
You have just proven why I recommend this product to everyone...the customer support. I've never had the owner/write of a piece of software work so closely and diligently to solve the problems of 4 users of the product. Thank You!!

Wow, truly a developer's nightmare. :?

But the clever XY swarm power nailed it quickly - very cool. :appl:

Exactly! And the speed at which it occurs is so extremely unusual as well..not weeks or months like some products but days at most, or hours most often.

My first experience with this was within a day or two of trying XY for first time...I had a crash and posted here...thought it'd be days or weeks before I got a reply or fix...nope! It was the next day that a beta was out with a fix! :appl: That sold me right there and halped me decide to do whatever I could to support/promote XY!

In all the years I've been active here, i've once seen a beta vers available within 20 min of bug report! Now that must have been perfect timing on both poster's and Don's part but goes to show how devoted to XY that Don is!
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

I had to look at this again, because a few users still get crashes. Please verify that the next version (v13.10.0141) still works for you.
