Re: Drag and drop crash with 12.90.0004
Could somebody post an animated GIF (using e.g. GifCam) of the exact place and moment of the crash please?

And another question: Is there anybody on XP SP3 who does not get a crash on dragging?

Re: Drag and drop crash with 12.90.0004
So it's not only when crossing the border to a new window / control!
Thanks!
I will now setup a debug environment... cu tomorrow.
PS: also when dragging from Tree, right?

Yes, just initiating a drag does it. And also from tree, same exact message.admin wrote:So it's not only when crossing the border to a new window / control!

No, but my font size was large instead of normal. So i changed back to normal but still get the crash. Maybe i should restart after setting the font to normal and then try this. will test that now.admin wrote:You are at 125% display size?

Re: Drag and drop crash with 12.90.0004
Oh, the one that crashes has dual monitors and the one that is fine has just one monitor. Not sure if that matters.
Re: Drag and drop crash with 12.90.0004
Don't think it matters. Mine is single monitored and it still crashes. What we know so far is it crash within the control, when you drag it to other control (such as tree, catalog), and it started happening around 12.90.0004. Also seems to be XP only. Left and Right drag has the safe effect. And just to note, it always happened even with a fresh install. That's what I have been using to test it for several days now.serendipity wrote:Oh, the one that crashes has dual monitors and the one that is fine has just one monitor. Not sure if that matters.

Hehe, also now you know one less factor.serendipity wrote:Good you settled that, was about to unplug my other monitor.Enternal wrote:Don't think it matters. Don, I also test it on another XP SP3 computer today and 12.90.0004 onwards crashes just like my own XP SP3 computer.
Re: Drag and drop crash with 12.90.0004
Sure, here! I would be cursing you all the time, if that were the case. Instead, I am wandering all the time what are you people talking about in this thread.admin wrote:And another question: Is there anybody on XP SP3 who does not get a crash on dragging?
So, I am on "Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 3), 32-bit (5.1)" in a classic mode with 12.90.0010 and XYcopy v.2.10.0035.
I do not experience this at all: when I explicitly try to recreate the gif-example, I just plain get the other cursor ("not possible here", or some others, depending on right/left drag and hovering area).
Everything perfectly normal here.
BTW, the only "strange" thing I have noticed lately is the fact that Marco's updater script (better said: a copy operation invoked by it after downloading, as it seems) has some problem with CatalogDefault.dat: apparently does not want to overwrite it and therefore the whole thing does not get copied. (This only as a marginal info.)

Haha but there's definitely something going on. Two of my computers and one misc computer does not work. Several users reporting that it does not work.
I'm convinced that there are Leprechauns trying to ruin everything. But what are Leprechauns doing in September?!
