After resizing my Windows page file, sitting through CHKDSK for a couple hours and rebooting a few times - my commands have vanished. Any suggestions where to find them? I am guessing these are stored in udc.dat? I can probably copy that over from another machine but I am curious if there's anything else I can try.
PS. I lost my recent sites in Chrome too. And it took 4 hours for Outlook to repair my mailbox file after Windows broke it. So in general, my settings in many apps got hosed, but randomly. Like my date column format got changed in XY, but most other settings remain as I left them. Except for losing my UDC's of course.
User Defined Commands disappeared
Re: User Defined Commands disappeared
I would simply restore it from one of my backups. I hope you have some regular set up.Rhywun wrote:I can probably copy that over from another machine but I am curious if there's anything else I can try..

Yeah, I managed to restore the user commands from another machine. Strange that just a couple files were trashed out of the whole settings directory.

Yeah, every once in while I also experience that sort of strange encounters. But that's what backups are made for in the end.Rhywun wrote:Strange that just a couple files were trashed out of the whole settings directory.
Glad to read you could fix it.
