[Solved] Dialogs Line Height

Post by FluxTorpedoe »

Hi'
Happening with v12.60 upgrade from 12.50 (couldn't try v12.50.0028). Windows XP SP3.

Since "Adjustable Font Size", it seems (Dialogs) Line Height as changed...
Even reducing font size has practically no impact.

Is there a way to get the line height back to what it was (more info in the same space) - or maybe better, tweak it (I couldn't find a difference in the ini)?
Note: it's much more noticeable with other fonts (e.g. I use PT Sans) but I tried and took snapshots with a clean install.

Thanks & sorry for unzipping & uncrumbing your attention 8)

It's a fruit of the new more-air era. Why don't you enjoy it? Take a breath.

Some like more air - some like less - for those with young/good eyes, less seems preferred - for us oldsters, more seems better but IF it forces scrolling when none needed before, that may not be ideal either.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Well, I do enjoy it... per se.
And I totally agree with the "new era" factor, but there's more than one side to it:
- of course, one should definitely not forget the trend towards huge screens with high-res.
- but one should not forget either the other simultaneous trend towards smaller usually-portable devices (laptops/notebooks)
- & that's without mentioning less-fortunate countries and persons... :? (who tend to only find and use the latter)

Well, it's already summed up clearly by j_c_hallgren,
so yes, air is certainly good on a Ultra HD screen -and more seriously, for anyone of any age using glasses- so I totally support this.
But no, scrolling is really bothering on a small 1024/768 screen...

As I said, my font is smaller than on the screenshots - while appearing big on a small screen!
e.g. I can read this <

Have a nice day, 8)
