Shell integration? Comodo
Howdy, I don't exactly know what shell integration is, but maybe it's what I think it is. LOL Anyway, I've installed Comodo Internet Security and in Windows Explorer I can right click on a file I've just downloaded and scan from the options presented. Not so with XYplorer, does that have to do with Shell Integration? Doh!
Re: Shell integration? Comodo
Just a wild guess: You're running a 64bit OS!
If yes, search the forum for "WOW64" to find heaps of relevant posts.
But the solution is usually to install the 32bit version of the software (the shell ext are missing of) as well, in order to get the shell extensions in XY.

1) Install 32bit: if your software allowsRalphM wrote:But the solution is usually to install the 32bit version of the software ...
2) and as you said: "as well": if your software allows
As I understood Don, he will try to make this better.
Let's wait and see

Re: Shell integration? Comodo
Thanks for all your help. It's not like I'm in love with Comodo or anything so I installed Avast instead and now I have the right click option to scan with Avast. I think that was the easiest solution cause my head exploded reading that last post, LOL. Thanks again.

Yeah, you've got a point bb. I tried to cover too much ground in one post. What was intended for newbies will probably scare them away. Short version: there is a fix for the 64bit menu issue; there is some configuration involved but it works; and there are added benefits. Avast is good but I'm sticking with Comodo.bbjones666 wrote:Thanks for all your help.
