it seems to be some miss-understanding = click on File at top left and there is Dublicate there.

eil, you are right it is only on the File menu :(

I thought it was also on the Right click menu for a file - would be nice to have it there.

It's an obvious place to have it as well. Maybe something for the wish list to have another option for the File List Context Menu.
Thanks,

It's already there, in the right-drag context menu.
When you want a copy/duplicate of any file, drag it with right-click just a little bit (you don't need to drop the file in another place). On mouse up, a popup menu will open with all sorts of copy, backup, create and move operations - even more than in the File|Duplicate submenu. Very handy.
Alternatively you could use Ctrl+D. It's the standard shortcut for duplicates as far as I know (Photoshop and other programs use it, too) and it's instantaneous. :D

Flora - thank you; That's exactly what I'm looking for.

This program just gets better and better, but finding out this kind of stuff is really hard and relies on the forum (mind you the great forum is one of the reasons I bought it)

I thought I'd read the help manual from top to bottom but I completely missed this.
Searching for "duplicate" didn't find it either, because it's called copy or move (just terminology)
When I copy something from a directory to the same directory - I've always called that duplicate rather than copy, so that's what I was looking for.

Maybe we could do with a little bit more help in the "Custom Drag and Drop Context Menu" section of the help file.
I'd read this but didn't really know how to implement it, and how much a 'right click / drag operation' it was.

Let's update the help please to do as Flora has said "When you want a copy/duplicate of any file, drag it with right-click just a little bit (you don't need to drop the file in another place). On mouse up, a popup menu will open with all sorts of copy, backup, create and move operations - even more than in the File|Duplicate submenu."
Thanks,
