1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Icons of files on CDs are not shown correctly

Post by peterbonge »

The title just says it. Files on CDs are not shown correctly. Most times all or the most files have a folder icon, a CD icon or the main icon of the CD (set in autorun.inf)...

Not so here. Since when do you see that behavior?

Since a very long time. But I'm using CDs rarely and I always forgot to report it here. Now I've tested this on one more PC and on my new notebook. All the same. And I've put in another CD and some files are showing the icon from the previous CD...

Thanks also. It got even more confusing when switching between a CD and a Zip drive! I hadn't noticed it before so I don't know how long it's been there - or perhaps I don't pay much attention to the icons!!

Not using CDs very often, I was pretty surprised by this bug. It must have slipped in in August 2004 when I applied some performance improvements which, as it now turned out, cannot be applied to CDs.
