For those of us who are not polyglots this sounds like a really fantastic new tool - a by product or side effect of MLS.

For a long time have made notations to the pdf Help file as new features were added. But the significant disadvantage of this approach is that it is not cumulative as new versions are made available. Having comments et al in the Reference_*.lng should ameliorate the problem.

Rather like "One Ring to rule them all".
