In the default appearence of XYplorer, the bottom section of the screen presents a nice recap of information about the file. Two things would be useful.
1) Being able to select this text out of the properties section at the bottom to copy it to the clipboard (a real call for properties let you do this if you want to see what I mean, right click on a file, goto properties, then you'll see how you can select this text to copy it to the clipboard). That way if I quickly want to copy part of a filename for use somewhere else, I don't have to work too hard to do it. Basically it makes the program more useful without using more space. Which I think is a good thing.
2) While we're at it, if it was possible to rename from a single click, single click like in explorer, this may be possible I'm not sure, but the first request still would be practical either way.
and actually
3) Being able to manipulate the file by editing the fields at the bottom. It'd be pretty neat to change it's location just by deleting off part of the path, or typing in a new path, or change the filename, or even the date, etc...
Just some thoughts... I don't care if they're implemented or not, but it would speed up my work a little. I'm aware I can hit F2, but I tend to leave my left hand in the alt-tab position at all times, so F2 isn't the most convenient option for me.

Re: Easier way to copy filenames
Not exactly as you described, but there's already something like this: double-click the info you want to be copied to the clipboard.ender-01 wrote:1) Being able to select this text out of the properties section at the bottom to copy it to the clipboard (a real call for properties let you do this if you want to see what I mean, right click on a file, goto properties, then you'll see how you can select this text to copy it to the clipboard). For example, dbl-clicking on the Location will actually copy it to the clipboard. And if you click on the label "Location:" (and not the actual location) then the full thing is copied, with the label. eg: "Location: C:\Some Folder"
This works for pretty much everything in the Properties tab, including the icon
This is possible, but might need to be activated. To do so, click on menu "View/List Style/Rename On Slow Double-Click"ender-01 wrote:2) While we're at it, if it was possible to rename from a single click, single click like in explorer, this may be possible I'm not sure, but the first request still would be practical either way.
Note that this is only for the List, but you got the same option in "View/Tree Style" for the Tree of course
For moving/renaming can't be done. But you can (un)check the attributes to change them, and click on a date to edit it (leaving blank will set the current date).ender-01 wrote:3) Being able to manipulate the file by editing the fields at the bottom. Note that those changes (timestamp & attributes) will actually be applied to all selected items!
