How to decrease white space in large icon view

I just installed XYplorer, and have used the large icon view. The small icon view is too small; however, when I use the large icon view, I find a large amount of white space between the icons/folders. Is there a way to minimize this white space? When I open up my documents partition in XYplorer, i see 9 folder icons in each row, in the right pane. When I open up the same folder in another program, I see 14 folder icons (and both programs have the left pane taking up the same amount of space).

Currently this is hard-coded but I tested it and I think yes, I could make it about 20 pixels smaller per item.

OK, that would be a nice option (if you do want to keep the ability to have as much white space as there is now) to adjust; if not, I'd strongly recommend making them smaller.
