Wildcards in script file names??

Post by kunkel321 »

With these multi-version scripts that people are doing, I sometimes wish the XYS files could include version numbers in their names...

Maybe it would be clever if I could point a "Load scriptname.xys" command to "Load scriptname-v*.xys" then the script engine could read the script file no matter if it was "scriptname-v1.0.xys," scriptname-v1.1.xys," or so on.

Not sure if this would work in real life... Interesting thought though.

...and maybe also include some info about changes, too

Sorry for that

Shouldn't both: version info and change log, simply be contained as comment in the first part of a script?

I think I would absolutely dislike it in the file name...
