Focusing a random image with a mouse left click

Post by Borut »

When file list in a thumbnails view, I apparently can not focus a random image with a mouse by left clicking once on a thumbnail. It is only if I click on its caption, that it gets a focus.

Is it me, my system or XYplorer? If XYplorer, is it by design?

If (Mouse Down Blow Up) Configuration | Thumbnails | On left mouse down (popup stays up until button is released) is OFF then you can focus just normally.

If (Mouse Down Blow Up) Configuration | Thumbnails | On left mouse down (popup stays up until button is released) is ON then a short click on the thumb will focus, a long click will MDBU.

Works fine here. All as expected and advertised.

Thank you Don. My setting is: ON. I have tested this further and it apparently has to do with a way I am using a touch pad on my laptop. I am used to make a short tip on a touch pad area when I need a left click. Normally this works OK. However, in XYplorer this invokes the following response: the hour glass comes up, as if MDBU is being prepared. However, neither the MDBU comes up, nor the focus changes. The hour glass simply goes away after some 2 seconds or so.

Not so when I really press the left button of a touch pad - than XYplorer is behaving almost(?) as expected: on a very short press it switches focus, on somewhat longer press the effect is the same as in the previous paragraph (hour glass comes and goes) and on even longer press the MDBU pops up.

Anyone else? Don, can you perhaps try that on a laptop with a touch pad yourself?
