Hey serendipity, Version 5, once again very nice. No issues updating from v11.60.01 to v11.60.0102 for me on Windows 7 x64. I'll second highend's request for a savesettings variable - just one more thing to make it even easier for those who don't want to save automatically.
Thanks again,
Ken

If possible I'd like to see an option to only display all changelogs for all versions newer than the current one instead of a fixed value.

Thanks,
Highend

7) Switched font back to Verdana based on some research (http://www.surl.org/usabilitynews/41/onlinetext.asp). Also, Beta logs are in blue and official logs in dark red. Of course all this can be changed to your liking in user setting parameters section.
Hmm. I have just updated to 11.60.0103, but it was red...

Thanks for the file you sent.
I tested it on XP and it upgraded fine. No problems here.
Could it be that the info could not be downloaded properly?
Can you still reproduce this?
Don't know where to look. :?

Thanks for your quick check - and your overall support.

Yes, it could be that there was/is some sort of "filter" interfering with the info download. The XP-machine is hooked up to a company network. Unfortunately I will have to wait until next week to do further tests. Maybe it's related to the IE7 security issue that have come up this week. I read on the company's intranet today that they have blocked some ip-ranges in order to reduce the risk of drive-by infections.
I'll do some more tests next week.

Feature request: can you make the script make a call to my browser's api to add this link to the list of visited links?

Thank you very much for this great and constantly evolving script.

OK thanks, I tested 3 other PCs but never saw this. I'll upload another version soon. Please let me know if this still happens.
Also, there was no 0101, maybe you mean 0100?
btw, what OS?

Version 6
1) User settings are now saved to an ini file SimpleUpdater.ini.
2) For whatever reason if you want the ini to have same name as script name, in the User parameters section change it to $SimpleUpdater.ini.
edit:
Also html color names darkblue and darkred are replaced with appropriate html color codes.
