Another question related to introducing my friend to XYplorer. She uses both a desktop and notebook in the house, both accessing a network drive for all personal data and common stuff.
Is there any way to run XYplorer, at the same time, on these 2 machines and yet have both share the very same <xydata> directory on the network drive, or at least portions of it, without causing file corruption and any bizarre behavior?
I realize she could try to remember to always fully exit XYplorer on one machine before using it on another. And indeed, we have her do that for applications like Microsoft Outlook. But ideally, it would be great if 2 XYplorers can somehow run at the same time and not interfere with each other. I know this may be too much to ask or expect, but at least, will XYplorer issue any kind of warning prompt if it detects that another XYplorer process is trying to run off the same <xydata> directory? If that's not the case currently, could this warning be added?

Re: How to run XYplorer on 2 machines and share 1 configurat
Startup.ini can be used to set a common app data path, also on a network share.
The only possible issue I see is that the last "save settings" will overwrite the previous "save settings".
