Hi,
Often I use two software that exchange data between them: Word + Zotero (Citation Manager).
An error when using Word + Zotero have appeared suddenly and it seems to be related with XYplorer (when run as administrator).
I realized that the error have appeared when I run the document (.doc) from XYplorer. The document opens normally, but this error is related just the use of Zotero inside Word (as a plugin).
When using Windows Explorer, everything works properly.
And by chance, when I unchecked "run as administrator" of the XYplorer windows properties and ran XYplorer, the behavior became normal again. So, could XYplorer be interfering in these application process?
Thanks,
Cadu

Probably not XYplorer by itself, but starting Word (through double-clicing a file associated with Word) by an elevated process: that way, Word inherited the elevated status from XYplorer. I'm not sure how Word add-ons work exactly, but apparently Zotero needs Word to be run with non-administrative privileges.
If you want to test this with a different file manager, I don't think you can use Windows Explorer for that because for some reason, you can't run an instance of Windows Explorer elevated. Any third-party file manager should work however.
