titlebar <app> parameter to show app name only
How can I change the <app> titlebar parameter to not show the " - upgrade from <previous version>" text? I just want it to say "XYplorer" only.

After an upgrade, just save your settings. It will disappear on the next XYplorer's start afterwards.

And once you've saved setting, you can "restart w/o saving" so you don't even have to leave XY.highend wrote:After an upgrade, just save your settings. It will disappear on the next XYplorer's start afterwards.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Wouldn't it be strange to save the settings and then restart without saving?j_c_hallgren wrote:And once you've saved setting, you can "restart w/o saving" so you don't even have to leave XY.highend wrote:After an upgrade, just save your settings. But if Eep² works as I am used to: generally doesn't save settings (on exit), he could also do the following: after upgrade just start XY, and then immediately save settings. Then he hasn't changed something, but on next start the note is gone.
OK - seen from this side it's about that what J_C said

OK, it changed after I removed the ini and version after a restart.
Having to manually save the settings all the time gets annoying, too. Is there an option to automatically save the settings whenever a setting is changed?

I'm afraid that's the default? I.e. the current settings are saved on exit of XY.Eep² wrote:OK, it changed after I removed the ini and version after a restart.

Code: Select all
v9.40.0112 - 2010-09-04 20:31
+ Configuration | Templates: To suppress the automatic upgrade
notice in the titlebar (it is shown when you first run a new
XYplorer version), you can now add the pseudo-variable <nun> (= No
Upgrade Notice) anywhere to the template. E.g.:
<path> - <app> @ <ini> - <ver><nun>FAQ | XY News RSS | XY X
