List colours question

Post by eil »

when i select some items in List they have this colour
fs_2012-03-27_13'51'33.png
but when i open Configuration dialog i see it changing to
fs_2012-03-27_13'53'12.png
i found this color in Configuration > Colour & Styles as Sel. Items back(for non-focused list). so i got 2 questions:
- why does this colour applies only when some XY window is opened and not when XY itself is not focused?
- which is the setting to change selection text and background colour? i know it's stupid, but i tried some and selection colour remains as on 1st picture above(white text, dark blue back).

can someone please say how to get lines-between-files effect like here?

Tools/Customize List/Show Grid. And you can change the color of the grid in Colors&Styles as you wish. Red line: "Underline selected rows" in Colors&Styles, select red at the color of "Selected rows".

One of my favorite thing in XYplorer, that I can use the colors in order to speed my work by visual effects. However, I'm sad a bit, when Color filters doesn't work as I expected and it is hard to set the color filters as I want. Color filters should be polished, making it simplier and more sensible, but I think Don won't do that in the near future because of other important tasks.

Untick "zebra striping" option, because it hides the grid.

Because it is programmed by XY, so when XY shows a child window or you shift the focus to the tree, the software changes the color to light blue (selection background). But if you click to other non-XY window, the Windows is responsible for changing color, and it changes the window title bar color to lighter blue. So "Selection background color" shows the position of focus inside XY. A list item doesn't lose the focus by your click to other non-XY window. All in all, background doesn't refer to XY window in this context.
