Multi-column sort?
Is it possible to sort on multiple columns in a list view?
For example, show files in a folder sorted by ext first and then by date modified within extension.
Thanks.
Rick

Re: Multi-column sort?
Yes, it's called secondary sorting and you do it like this: Hold SHIFT when you click the secondary sort column ("modified" in your case).

I'm sure, it looks like a happily smiling face. I had to look up "razz", and I'm sure I never ever heard or read that word anywhere. Can you make me a sample sentence with razz?j_c_hallgren wrote:Hi and welcome to the XY forums!blobby wrote:Thanks - quick response
Just wondering...Why the razzwhen you got a reply from Don in about 20 min? On many forums, you'd not get a reply from author in less than a day or two, if that...did you intend a positive smiley instead of a negative one? Hope so...

Wait a sec...you had to look up razz and you've never heard/read it? 'Cause when you hover that smiley, it's labeled as Razz so you must have seen it...The razz smiley is face is of someone sticking out their tongue...and it's used when you're not mad at someone but disagree and wish to express a bit of emotion about that.admin wrote:I'm sure, it looks like a happily smiling face. Re: Multi-column sort?
From a couple of web dictionaries:
To heckle or laugh at contemptuously. It comes from the word razzberry (raspberry), a sound of contempt made by protruding the tongue between the lips and expelling air forcibly to produce a vibration. Like what chimpanzees do
and this from another:
to deride; make fun of; tease.
with this as example:
to tease someone. : I was just razzing you. I didn't mean any harm.

OK. But is razz in your active vocabulary? Are you using it? Did you ever?

Now I just looked at dict.leo.org - it says:
Substantiv - nachahmender Laut der Verachtung
Verben - jemanden aufziehen
- jemanden hänseln
- jemanden nerven
OK: now I understand j_c ...
(I hope I will remember it

Re: Multi-column sort?
I've used it on occasion when giving a friend a hard time -- if they start to wonder if I mean it, I'll just say "Nah, I'm just razzing you about that." So it's not too uncommon over here in the US, but it's not as common as it used to be...admin wrote:OK. But is razz in your active vocabulary? Are you using it? Did you ever?

Re: Multi-column sort?
i never ment this
smile as a negative one and used it as a teasing emoticon(and will continue to mean it this way). besides by looks of it, image more resembles me then (we use different kinds of tongue-smiles here)
