use internal images from active tb buttons on user buttons?

Trying to to put the image from the dual pane button on a user button with ":dp" but no image appears. Same for ":dp12". Is it possible to get the images from these active buttons to appear on user buttons, pref. w/ the icon switching working? Thanks.

It usally works as simple as you already tried. The DP buttons are a bit exceptional. Try these:

is it possible at all to do a script for switching button icon according to some condition?(like with mentioned swap panels icons)
