Hi,
does it work when you untick Configuration | Extended | Custom drag and drop context menu and drag with the right mouse?

Thank you for your reply, un/ticking that option does not affect this problem. Please see Youtube video for depiction of problem.admin wrote:Hi,

I should note, drag and drop TO Winscp works fine.

Re: Drag and drop from WINSCP
1. In your video, did you also try to drag with the right mouse button?
2. There seems to be a shell extension to enable drag from WinSCP: http://winscp.net/eng/docs/dragext

Re: Drag and drop from WINSCP
1) I tried with both buttons, with both options.admin wrote:1. In your video, did you also try to drag with the right mouse button?

2) The shell extension does not work, however it does work with Xyplorer if I use the "temporary folder" method of Winscp.

Kind of, during large transfers I have to wait a second time for the files to copy from temporary folder to destination folder.admin wrote:Does this mean your problem is solved?n37 wrote:2) The shell extension does not work, however it does work with Xyplorer if I use the "temporary folder" method of Winscp.

Re: Drag and drop from WINSCP
Hello,
I'm in need of the "Drag and drop from WinSCP" function too and find absolutely essential too. It still doesn't work with XYplorer.
I already installed the shell extension to enable drag from WinSCP. And it works with any other explorer like MS Windows Explorer, Xplorer2, Directory Opus, etc. but unfortunately NOT with XYplorer.
Is there any chance to get it working in your new beta versions?

Re: Drag and drop from WINSCP
According to the posts above the issue has been solved or at least there is a work around. Did you try this?

You are talking about the "temporary folder" method of WinSCP? Yes, this method works.admin wrote:According to the posts above the issue has been solved or at least there is a work around. Did you try this?
You don't plan to support the "Drag and drop" shell extension from WinSCP? It has some advantages; that's why they developed this shell extension.

Re: Drag and drop from WINSCP
Yes, but I cannot do it (unless with an extreme effort which would conflict with other things on my list). I wonder why it does not work. XY generally supports d+d, of course. WINSCP apparently does something quite unusual.

Maybe. But MS Explorer, Xplorer2 and DOpus are working with it.admin wrote:WINSCP apparently does something quite unusual.

Re: Drag and drop from WINSCP
I was curious and installed:
WinSCP.exe, 6.479.984 bytes, 24.07.2012 19:30:56, ver 4.3.9.1817
Tried D+D and it worked with XY! (XP SP3).
