What is shortcut key to START XYplorer?

What is the designated shortcut key to START XYplorer? If I want Windows Explorer, I hit Win+E. What's the keystroke combo for XYplorer?

Also, if I want to assign a Windows-Key shortcut to start XYplorer, how could I do that? (And how do I see my current Win+ keystroke assignments first?)

Win+E is provided by Windows itself (basically, Windows Explorer, which is always running, looks for the shortcut and runs a window instance of itself). I don't think you can assign keyboard shortcuts which includes the Win-key yourself; a quick test didn't get me anywhere. You can however define other shortcut keys: I use Ctrl+Alt+Shift+X myself. (I did use WordPerfect for DOS back in the day... )

The bad news is that Windows defines several shortcuts with the Win-key included. I'm sure there are lists through Google, but I don't think there is software which shows you both what Windows has defined as well as your own customisations, if any. The good news however, is that AutoHotkey_L allows you to define hotkeys which include the Win-key.

Simply open the Properties of your XYplorer shortcut, click with the mouse in Shortcut key and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+X. Once you see this text in the Shortcut key field appear, don't press any more keys until you've closed the Properties dialog by clicking OK. After this, the shortcut key should work.

For assigning a Win key combo I'd look at AutoHotkey: it takes some effort, but can handle this with ease (in addition to a host of other things).

Thanks, calude - but WinKey becomes a running process, so I turned it off. I'll stick with Ctrl + Alt + Shift + X.
