I noticed something today: the 7-zip context menu does not show up with XY.
Tried it with the default explorer and it shows up...
Can't XY handle the 7-zip context menu or will this be implemented in the near future?
7-zip context menu not working with XY?

64bit OS? XYplorer doesn't display 64bit extensions. Look if you can find a 32 bit version.

Never thought of that!
It was indeed a 64bit version of 7-zip! Tried the 32bit and it works perfectly!
Thanks!

Re: 7-zip context menu not working with XY?
For any of the newer (or maybe not so) users that may be having this problem. I was also and already running 32bit 7zip.
Go to configuration > extended and look at the 2nd box down... Default items only in shell context menu
Un-check it and all should be well.
I had been seeing and using 7zip in my context menu and all of the sudden it was gone.
Then I remembered I had recently made some changes in the extended config section. Sure enough I had put a check in the box above by mistake. Remember to save the config too if you are not doing so automatically.
Hope it's a tip that helps.

And they won't show! Because you just said "64bit menus"...the only menus that can appear with a 32bit appl like XY are 32 bit menus...that's why we're saying that having the correct vers is required.scribbly wrote:Nope: that box was never ticked and it's still unticked... and my 64bit menus are nowhere
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.
