bringing the subtitle to the parent folder of the movie

Post by kotlmg »

i need a small script to bring the deeply rooted subtitle files .srt, .smi, etc in the sub sub folder to the parent folder and rename the subtitle with the base name of the movie and delete the all other sub sub folders. and also to rename the parent folder as base of the movie.

ex: i have a movie.avi in main folder, and main folder has subfolder1 and subfolder2 and subfolder3. subtitle.srt is available in subfolder1/subfolder2/subtitle.srt. i want to brint subtitle.srt to the movie.avi parent folder and also rename the subtitle.srt as movie.avi and delete subfolder1 ,subfolder2 and subfolder3. and make the parent folder name as movie.

actually all the torrent movie files are in the above format.

Hmm, torrent movie files? Copyright infringement much?
