Custom Copy fails to request elevation

Post by Creat »

Hi,

firs of: thanks for finally implementing this, I've been hoping/waiting for this for quite a LONG time! Just awesome :D

Unfortunately, while the old implementation correctly requests elevation when needed, custom copy doesn't. The simplest way to reproduce this is to just do a "Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V" in the program files (x86) folder with some folder selected. If custom copy is disabled, elevation is requested correctly and the copying can continue. Custom Copy just fails instantly because it can't create the folder "oldname-01" and aborts. The only way around this at the moment is to start XYplorer with admin privileges...

Edit: running with admin privileges is not an option in general, as it disables drag&drop with anything that only has normal user privileges (so basically everything else).

Using latest beta 10.40.0115

Already discussed on the forum but atm there is no other solution than using a CustomCopyBlacklist.dat file.

No custom copy in conjuction with elevation up to now...

Ok somehow I missed that, did a quick search but apparently I fail at picking keywords, sorry :)

Gonna look into the blacklist file, maybe I'll stick with manual elevation for now, I think I prefer that (even though it's cumbersome).

Thanks!
