One of the reasons I'm trying xyplorer is because Windows Explorer in Windows 7 has expanded the line spacing, with the result that one gets about 20% fewer listings in a given amount of screen space.
I found that xyplorer on 7 has a different font than XP, but even after I change the font to match XP, I am still getting fewer entries on the screen (same resolution etc).
If I change the font size to be smaller, I get smaller text, but the line spacing stays the same, and I still can't get the same density as I could on XP.
Is there any way to change the spacing?
Any way to get line spacing in Windows 7 to match XP?

Sure. Hold CTRL+SHIFT and use the mouse wheel over the List or Tree or Catalog to alter the line spacing.

And if you've not already bought XY but might, see http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6258sandstonez wrote:One of the reasons I'm trying xyplorer
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Very nice!
Is that documented somewhere and/or what's its called? I did figure out that in the .ini file its disty.
And it does seem that XP goes denser than W7, although perhaps its due to running W7 under vmware, although the resolution is supposed to be the same.

Re: Any way to get line spacing in Windows 7 to match XP?
A very late and unnecessary reply but I couldn't resist -- Ctrl-Shift-Wheel is great! I didn't know you could do that! The smaller default line spacing in XYplorer versus the stupidly increased amount in Windows 7 Explorer was the nail in the coffin that had me abandon Explorer for XYplorer in the first place well over a year ago. And now, I can actually make the spacing even smaller. Excellent.
