Because I want XYplorer to always start with specific folders in the top and bottom pane, I have it set to not "Save settings on exit". That Permanent startup path can't be set for both panes 1 and 2, it seems. (Could that be added?)
What I didn't realize that that this prevents changes made in Tools | List Management | Favorite Folders from being saved just by clicking OK. (I came to XYplorer from PowerDesk, where the favorites are saved independently from the main settings.)
Is this truly by design? (If so, maybe a reminder to the user that the changes aren't really saved yet might be a good idea.
Is there any way to force the edits to Favorite Folders to take, without having any other settings be changed?
(Or, to have Permanent starup path save something for both panes 1 and 2?)

Re: Tools | List Management | Favorite Folders saving?
Hi and welcome,
I'm planning something like "Work Spaces" where you can save and load whole tab groups to each of the panes individually. In the course of this there will also be a way to define a work space for each pane at startup.
Conc. saving: Correct, you cannot save Favorites separately from other settings in XYplorer.ini.
