Find Files and changing tabs

Post by Borut »

My "Show search results in:" is "Search results" tab (locked).

I have several tabs opened.

With "Find now" button in info panel I start search and obtain results (in a new "Search results" locked tab, as wanted).

I then go to another tab.

Then I go back to "Search results" tab. At this moment the search is performed anew. I would like to avoid that, i.e. I am already content with my results and do not want to repeat the search for which results are already there (and I still need to have them there).

Does this have to do with some big misconception of mine; is there an option with which this can be avoided; is it as designed; is it perhaps a bug?

Ooops, sorry! Just found the answer several lines downwards in this section:

"Simply tick Configuration | Find Files | Cache search results."

So you found http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7011 after you created the thread, right? 'Cause it addressed the same issue just a couple of days ago...
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.
