Remove Option: Alternate Color for Find Results

Post by admin »

The developer has a wish now: cleaning up I want to remove the menu command View/Style List/Alternate Color for Find Results and default it to a hard-coded yes. Reason: I never said no to this ever! Did any of you?

Yes, I just said "no" to find out what it did!!.

Certainly I'd be happy for the option to be removed and made a hard-coded "yes".

So has my chosen "FindBackColor" setting from the ini file. I thought that a hard yes would still have used that chosen colour.

You really edited the INI and chose your own color? Cool! But the sorted column color could not be edited... didn't it look a bit punky?

No. All the colours I choose are very de-saturated, just looks better than white!!

Not only do I edit ini files, I edit the registry - I like to live dangerously!!!

Hey, that's my style too: de-saturated danger!

So, do you want it back, backcolor and sortcolumncolor?

I don't want the "View|Style List|Alternate Color for Find Results" back in the menu since, like you, I never changed it. Having the option to use the colour set in the ini file would be nice and then I can have my pale green as the "FindBackColor". If the option is available not to have white as a background then I always prefer to make it a pale green or yellow.

I've used this option too to change colors. I wouldn't tell that some colors are better than other one, but it's a matter of a habit...

Yeah! And in the next BETA there won't be unnecessary rereads of list contents anymore when just colors changed.

I'm waiting for the first voice demanding configurable text color, too  to revive the old 70's green-on-black computer feeling...

Since you have incorporated the signs of the Zodiac, how about making the focused row colour change to match the colour corresponding to the Zodiac sign.!!

What is the colour corresponding to the Zodiac sign?? I'm not eso enough to know this, in fact I'm rather anti-eso. No, I think we have enough colors now. This is a dead-serious application, not funware

Each sign of the Zodiac has a colour (or colours) associated with it. I don't have a great interest in astrology but I know people who do and have therefore picked up some bits of information.

Indeed, and a very serious approach is made by the author to suggestions from users for changes or additions to the program. Such interest and co-operation is very much appreciated.
