:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Network share passwords and a mysterious "working"

Post by agnul »

Not sure if this is a bug or what...

If I try to open a network share entering \\host\folder in the location bar and the share requires a password, xyplorer won't prompt me for one, but just show an empty list. If after that I open the same share with "classic" explorer (hit start/run, enter \\host\folder, enter password) and do a refresh in xyplorer nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

Also, trying to open an administration share (say \\host\c$) I get a list showing a mysterious "Working" folder and opening that I get to the content of c$.

What's wrong?

What happens when you restart XY after you entered the password? Still empty?

:? That folder must be there... XY does not add mysterious folders anywhere.

Restarting xyplorer the shared folder works fine. Not sure it's an xyplorer "bug" though, I've seen this happen with other file managers as well (xyplorer is by far the best one, of course).

Whoops, explorer shows the same "working" folder, I'll go looking somewhere else for the reason.
