Running Ver 10.10.0100 on my laptop. Minimizing to tray on close. When I am in the office I am using a dual monitor setup with laptop on the right.
When I leave the office, most of the time I will shut down in hibernate mode so it doesn't take so long to startup the next time.
My problem is if I forget and leave the last run of XY on the external monitor when I hibernate, the next time I start up without the external monitor connected, XY restores out into space on the left side. If I maximize the window it moves to the laptop screen ok but if I restore down it's back out in left field.
I've had this same problem before with a couple of other programs. Somewhere I found a small utility (forceWindowsvisable.exe) that I can get the window back out of left field onto the laptop screen.
Any settings change I can make in XY so it will automatically detect the external monitor is no longer connected and default to the laptop screen??
It's no big thing to run the utility, I keep it on my launchbar to find it quickly for such occasions.
Addition to above:
I just brought up XY after using forcewindowsvisable and clicked on the configuration icon to see if I may have missed a setting. The configuration window popped up out in left field too. There was just enough of it showing on the left side of the laptop screen that I could drag it over.
Thanks,

Re: Dual Monitor Question
No biggie. I'll just have to try and remember to move XY to the laptop screen before I shut down if it looks like I'll be using it without the external monitor the next time I power up. Or there's always forceWindowsvisable.exe if I forget.admin wrote:Sorry, but you will have to live with it.
