Re: Icons for scripts in the catalog / CFA?
I admit it looks terrible. Not sure what to do though. In other contexts it's useful to have the overlays IMO.

Well that's why I was thinking that perhaps treating a user defined icon as permission to hide the overlay would be an acceptable compromise. I agree they have a purpose and could be useful - though I wonder if anyone actually pays attention to the overlay itself and if they even understand/remember the meanings?admin wrote:I admit it looks terrible. Personally, I would be fine with an INI tweak that rid the catalog of overlays completely, but since I'm the only fool there's no reason to bother changing this at all.

Seems flakey here - sometimes I still have to refresh the cache (not a big deal).admin wrote:1. Yep, fixed.
The visual filter is a bit aggressive when the script contains a pipe:

You're not the only one. I think it's a bit busy too. I'm sure there's reasons for the overlay, I just never use them (or even know what they are because they're so small). an INI tweak would be nice cause then it would just be for TheQwerty and I hahaha!TheQwerty wrote:Well that's why I was thinking that perhaps treating a user defined icon as permission to hide the overlay would be an acceptable compromise. oh.. sorry. false infoadmin wrote:Really? Cannot make it work that way.eil wrote:wow.. somehow i missed it and tried setting icon through "Location+pipe"- and it worked welli mean i didn't try to do it with "Caption+pipe"
as for theme with overlays - me too seldom take notice to them, so i too would be grateful for a tweak, or maybe an ability with another pipe after icon path to hide overlay.

Admin.
I like the new option to use icons in the catalog.
One problem for me is that I had "Use generic icons for super-fast browsing"
checked in the past because it took to long for the icons to appear when scrolling
through my D: drive (thats where I keep my Programs).
Is there a way around this or is it a trade off.
Nice looking catalog and slow D: drive refresh rate or not as nice catalog and fast drive refresh rate.

So you want generic icons only for the file list but not anywhere else (catalog, toolbar, other lists...)?xycooper wrote:Admin.

Re: Icons for scripts in the catalog / CFA?
I could see where that makes sense as catalog & toolbar would be a small and typically stable subset whereas list can be huge and variable so use of generic there makes sense but not for the items that stay mostly fixed as to status.admin wrote:So you want generic icons only for the file list but not anywhere else (catalog, toolbar, other lists...)?
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Re: Icons for scripts in the catalog / CFA?
Changed it. xycooper will be happy again. It was actually almost a bug.

Re: Icons for scripts in the catalog / CFA?
The fix works great.
Now I have both and Yes I'm happy.
I'm Not sure about this next question.
Could the icons be cached like the thumbnails?
