Thank you for this. The beta changelog already mentions an improvement to come, but what I'm missing is the ability to right-click the drive button and get the shell context menu for the drive. Obviously just clicking the button to have the tree scroll to the drive and then right-clicking it, works, but it would be great to have that functionality with the toolbar button.

FWIW, other FM's drive bars already have this functionality.
OK, good idea.
Thank you again. One final enhancement - again inspired by the functionality of other FM's - would be if the drive buttons could function as drag-and-drop targets for copy/move/backup operations, which in my case would come in handy when quickly making a backup to the root of a USB flash drive.

Ah yes, one of my older plans... this indeed would make some sense now. Also for CTBs, of course. Also for opening files by dragging them onto a say "OpenWith button".

Don't if I find the time now, but just curious: which other FMs have that?

Directory Opus, Total Commander as well as xplorer2 (professional; not sure about the free version).

So so... kind of motivating...

A big thank you for drive letter buttons. I have set my most important removable drives, so I can see and access mounted drives immediately. I'm waiting for improvement of course, but this first approach is a useful solution for me.

What improvement are you thinking of specifically?

Hide button when drive is unmounted. It can save valuable toolbar space.

New group buttons are really cool, thanks for them! Is there any reason why "Network drives" is missing?

Sorry but I don't get it.

Don, you're refusing to add the Go to - Drives popup to the (active) pane instead of the catalog because in your opinion drive management belongs to the catalog but now even the main toolbar contains these features?

It seems the new drive group buttons have got the shell context menu for individual drives, but not the separate drive buttons (e.g. D:). I've got a few spurious removable drives I never use which are included in the group button, but would like to use the individual drive button because I only use one out of a group of three removable drives.

Based on the above, could individual drive buttons get the shell context menu as well?

Really? This works here (all available drives buttons, no matter group or not, get the shell context menu). :?

I've retested 10.00.0006 with an individual drive button labelled "Drive G:" with this as the result of right-clicking the drive button:

Makes sense to me. As one sees from the dropdown, drive G: is not available. There is a shell menu only for available drives.
