Sort by color

Is it possible to sort list column by color?? This is important if one has assigned colors for group of applications like office (.doc,.xls,.ppt) or zip (.zip,.rar) and so forth. would be a nice feature to sort by color.

Not possible currently. The idea is not bad, but it would need something to click on since there's no color column...

Just a reminder. Do you think its possible to add a new color column now since that white space on the right is going waste??

Difficult. The color-coding is done on-the-fly for only the lines actually shown. To sort by color I would have to retrieve and store the color for each line of the list before showing anything. With large lists that would slow down browsing notably to intolerably (also depending on the number of color filter definitions).

Well, I can imagine how it would slow up things. I definitely prefer speed over color column.
