Tabs, the Catalogue and removable drives

Post by JohnM »

I, like a lot of people these days, use removable drives a lot. I use the catalogue feature to allow myself quick access to them. I think that it would be neat if the catalogue automagically updated it’s icons as appropriate when a removable drive (or network connection) is either connected or disconnected.

Further to this, if I have a tab open on a removable drive and the drive in question is not plugged in when I start up XY (eg with the tab on my USB drive), XY says that this folder is currently not available, which is expected. However, when I plug in my removable drive, XY does not refresh the tab and so I have to refresh the tab manually. It’s no big deal, but I thought it would be neat if XY could automagically update the tab.

Let's face it, I'm fairly lazy :D

Thanks very much for the change.

I agree with JustinF, it's pretty cool. What is even cooler though is that yesterday I asked the question and today it's a reality.

Now I can be even lazier! Great work!
